The AMS Performance S55 Charge Pipes Kit is engineered to improve airflow efficiency and reliability on BMW vehicles equipped with the S55 engine. The kit replaces the factory plastic charge pipes with high-strength aluminum piping, reducing the risk of failure under increased boost pressure while supporting improved airflow to the engine.
Featuring both upper charge pipes and the lower J-pipe, the system increases cross-sectional flow area by up to 72% compared to the OEM components. The piping is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum and equipped with CNC-machined billet compressor outlet flanges to ensure precise fitment and durability. A wrinkle black powder-coated finish enhances corrosion resistance and provides a clean engine bay appearance.
The J-pipe incorporates a 1/8″ NPT port for optional methanol injection or nitrous systems. Designed using CAD software and validated through extensive testing, the kit installs using OEM-style mounting points without the need for cutting or drilling.
